Lamar Utility Board Recognizes Former Member John Munez

Lamar Utility Board members held a brief meeting Tuesday, August 14 before going into executive session for advice on various legal questions.
The board recognized the contributions made by former member, John Munez who had served as a director from August 2007 to this past year.
Purchase orders and bills received approval for payment at $1,081,838.02 and $264,910.89, respectively. Bids for 5,000 feet of inventory stock underground cable at $22,700 and power line hardware for $16,349.35 were approved from WestCo Denver Utilities. A request from May Valley Water for two power line extensions for water wells were approved by the board. One extension is at CR TT and CR8 and is estimated at $6,984.20. The other is for CR PP and CR5 and is estimated at $18,692.44. Combined monthly fees for a five year contract are $513.44.
The next utility board meeting will be held August 28.
