A Memorial Service for former Lamar resident currently of Garden City, Kansas, Sharon “Kay” Brown will be held at the Willow Creek Gazebo on July 7, 2012 at 2:00 PM.
Per Kay’s request cremation has taken place.
Kay was born on July 9, 1956 in La Junta, Colorado to Virginia Nelson and Harold Gatewood and later adopted by Harry and Mary Nelson. She passed away on April 1, 2012 at her home in Garden City, Kansas with her family by her side at the age of 55.
She is preceded in death by her mother; Mary Nelson.
Kay is survived by her husband; Tracy “T.J.” Brown of the family home in Garden City, KS, her children; Joseph (Andrea) Hernandez and Jineena (Brandon) Gehrer all of Lamar, grandchildren; Gena Pulido, Sierra Hernandez, Eric Pulido, Jesse Pulido, Cody Gehrer, Dyllan Gehrer, Victor Hernandez and Joseph Hernandez and her father; Harry Nelson of Rocky Ford, CO. She is also survived by her sisters; Pamella Russell aand Tamela Bell as well as her niece; Samantha Bell, nephew; Keith Russell both of Surprise, Arizona as well as numerous other family and a host of friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Peacock Funeral Home at 209 South 4th St., Lamar, CO 81052 in honor of Kay Brown.
