Lisa Nolder

Voices of Southeast Colorado is hosting a free public meeting on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 in the Cultural Events Center from 7 to 9pm. This meeting will provide an opportunity for the community to gain a better understanding of the role that Prowers County Development Inc. plays in promoting new businesses and helping the expansion and growth of existing businesses, on the county, regional, state and national levels. Lisa Nolder, Executive Director of PCDI, will be the featured speaker. Lisa was recently named the 2011 Rookie of the Year by the Economic Development Council of Colorado.

Lisa Nolder has served as Executive Director of Prowers County Development, Inc. located in Lamar, CO since 2009. As the Director of economic development for Prowers County, Lisa works closely with local businesses, local and state government, and other regional economic development organizations for the purpose of business development, retention, expansion and attraction efforts, with a strong emphasis on the renewable energy strengths in Southeast Colorado. She works closely with regional and community partners to leverage the economic strengths in the Southeast Colorado region to create quality jobs within the Prowers County area.

Lisa is actively involved in regional and state wide economic development boards and currently serves on: Southeast Business Retention, Expansion and Attraction; Economic Development Council of Colorado; Southern Colorado Economic Development District; Lamar Partnership, Inc., Economic Restructuring Committee; and Canyons & Plains of Southeast Colorado – A Regional Heritage Taskforce. Lisa is also a graduate of the National Renewable Energy Lab Energy Execs Program.

Lisa was born and raised on the eastern plains of Colorado, where she and her husband continue to raise their two children, who are fifth generation in Prowers County. She and her husband were partners in multi-generational family owned ranching operation for several years, and in 1997 became small business owners in Lamar, where they continue to operate a successful business.

Lisa attended Metropolitan State College immediately following high school, and served her country for six years in the US Army Reserves, serving with the 406th Combat Support Hospital at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center.
