8th Annual Lamar Elks Gun Show Has Good Turnout

Close to two dozen vendors were on hand this past Friday through Sunday at the Lamar Elks Lodge for their annual gun show.  Elks Exalted Ruler Jared Crabtree and Lodge member Tom McKibbon, who were manning the front desk on Saturday afternoon, said the parking lot was packed in the morning and there was still a healthy showing by mid-afternoon.

“We’ve had visitors from Burlington, some from Kansas and as far off as Creede stopping in,” said Crabtree.  For gun and hunting enthusiasts, there was something for everyone, from assortments of current and antique rifles and pistols, ammunition, collectible items such as knives, coins, two dollar bills, toys and the like.  Quite a few people were also viewing the taxidermy displays through the weekend, with two vendors on hand.
