ARPA Appoints Hourieh and Pfeilsticker to Board

The Arkansas River Power Authority (ARPA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Houssin Hourieh and Bill Pfeilsticker to the ARPA Board of Directors representing the City of Lamar.  Houssin and Bill were recently appointed to the Board of Directors by the Lamar City Council.Hourieh has over 25 years of employment with the Lamar Utilities Board as their electrical engineer and was recently appointed as its Electric Superintendent. Houssin brings a wealth of experience to the ARPA board with his technical background and expertise in the electrical industry. Houssin also sits on the board of directors and is the Secretary/Treasurer of CIRSA, an insurance and risk management entity serving Colorado municipalities.

Pfeilsticker served as Deputy Administrator for the City of Lamar from March 2009 through June 2011 and was appointed to the Lamar City Administrator’s position in June of 2011.  Bill brings a working knowledge to the ARPA board in financial planning and administration as his background includes serving as the Finance Director of Leesburg, Florida and County Administrator for Wabasha, Minnesota.

Both Houssin and Bill will bring valuable expertise to an already diverse group.  Welcome and good luck to both!

ARPA supplies wholesale electricity to its member municipalities in the communities of Holly, La Junta, Lamar, Las Animas, Springfield and Trinidad.
