Local Road Closures Due to High Water

Toni McPherson from the City called and informed The Prowers Journal that at least two roads will be closed until the water subsides.

Location One: College Road (the low water crossing) – To access Normandy Gardens or any of the businesses on the West side of the low water crossing use Highway 287.

Location Two – Woodland Road – due to high water on Willow Creek.

Red Cross Safety experts urge motorists when approaching a flooded road, stop and do not cross. Never drive through flooded roadways or drive around the barriers that warn you the road is flooded. Six inches of moving water can knock a person down and two feet of water can move a large vehicle.
