The Prowers County Sheriff’s Department made 300 service calls for November, 2011. Of those, 146 calls were in Lamar, 27 in Holly, Wiley had 14 and there were 109 calls made in the County. The 2012 Prowers County budget, approved by the county commissioners following December 8 public hearing, totals $17,665,344, a decrease from the 2011 budget which is $18,128,583.
