A mass of Christian burial for longtime Lamar resident, Dolores “Lola” J. Sandolval will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, February 8, 2016 at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Stephen Olamolu as celebrant. A rosary service will be held prior to the mass at 9:30AM at the church with Deacon Allan Medina reciting. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation for Dolores will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 1:00PM until 5:00PM and Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 8:00AM until 12:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Dolores was born on July 20, 1935 at Lamar, Colorado to Jose Maria and Eugenia (Rocha) Jimenez and passed away on February 1, 2016 at the Lamar Estates at the age of 80.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Damacio Sandoval; her parents and her brother, Joe Jimenez.
Dolores is survived by her children, Hope (George Talamtes) Sandoval and Mary Helen Gamboa all of Lamar; Laura (Refugio) Gamboa of Pueblo; Christina (Ernie) Jaramillo and Larry Albert (Alice) Sandoval all of Lamar; Jesse (Angelica) Sandoval of Florida and Alfred Sandoval of Lamar. She is also survived by her twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
