Pascual M. Hernandez…July 6, 1934 – December 4, 2015

A Memorial Service for longtime Lamar resident, Pascual M. Hernandez will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday December 11, 2015 at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lamar.  Deacon Allan Medina will be the celebrant and in-urnment will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar.

Per Pascual’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation.

Pascual M. Hernandez was born on July 6, 1934 in Lamar, Colorado to Pasqual Hernandez and Manuela Marez-Hernandez and departed this life on Friday December 4, 2015 at his home in Lamar with his family by his side at the age 81.

Pascual was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife Vera Hernandez; by a daughter – Judy Hernandez; by one grandson – Marc Hughes; by his siblings – Steve Hernandez, Cerilo “Tony” Hernandez, John Chavarria, Martin Hernandez, Florence Chavarria, Emma Shaffer, and Antonia Gonzales; by one sister-in-law – Sylvia Chavarria; and by one daughter-in-law – Doris Hernandez.

Pascual M. Hernandez is survived by his children – Gloria (Don) Smith of Selah, Washington, Annette (Darrin) Dean of Springfield, Pauline (Robert) Alvarado, Janet Hernandez, and Mary Jo “Jody” Hernandez all of Pueblo, Ralph Hernandez of Lamar, Anthony Hernandez of Lakewood, and Mike (Juanita) Hernandez of Garden City, KS; by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; by his siblings – Jerry Chavarria, Camilo Chavarria, Alfonsa Herrera, and Lupe (Ivan) Roger all of Lamar, Bonnie (Butch) Woods of Laredo, TX, and Cruz (Ruth) Hernandez of Colorado Springs; as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends as well as Chris Caldwell as a guardian son.

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Lamar Area Hospice or to the Frontier Hospice of Pueblo either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
