A Celebration of Life for former Lamar resident and current Ulysses, Kansas resident A. C. “Red” McPherson will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Lamar Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Lance Halford officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
Red was born on July 13, 1923 at Abilene, Kansas to C. E. and Catherine (Carlisle) McPherson and passed away on November 24, 2015 at Ulysses, Kansas at the age of 92.
A.C. is preceded in death by his wife, Fae McPherson on June 20, 1998; son Randy McPherson on April 6, 2013; parents; brothers, Charles, Don, Bill and Bob as well as his sister Margaret Weis. He is also preceded by numerous nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his daughter Cindy and husband Marcus Koehn of Ulysses, KS; a daughter-in-law Jeanette McPherson of Garden City, KS as well as his nieces and nephews.
