Denten Gale Davis died Friday, October 16, 2015 after a year-long battle with Leukemia.

He is preceded in death by his father Clarence Davis. He is survived by his mother, Donna Davis; wife, Debra Teller; son Garett Davis (Holly); daughter Leslie Read (Will); stepchildren Tamara Ritter (Perry), Teara Doedo (Micah), Tiffany Teller; grandchildren Elliot Davis, Ella Read, Kendra Teller, Nathaniel Rodriquez, Darian Ritter, Jade Teller, Zekiel Pearcy, Sophie Carter, Breanna Doede, & Oliver Doede; sister D’Ette Hobden (Russ); brothers Mick Davis (Brenda), Leland Davis (Rene), Dallas Davis, Darin Davis (Renee); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Denten was born in Lamar, Colorado in 1950 and raised on the family farm south of Granada. He attended Granada schools through his sophomore year. The family then moved to a ranch near Durango, Colorado and graduated from Durango High School. He was first married to Joanne Wilson, 1974-1984. In 1988, he married Debra Teller.

Denten was an accomplished machinist, auto mechanic, equipment operator & pipeline inspector. He had the ability to fix almost anything and was always willing to help others with their projects. His passion was fishing, hunting, & camping, which he pursued from Mexico to Alaska and most states in between. He loved spending time outdoors with his family & friends and entertained all with humorous stories of his many adventures.

Denten will be sorely missed by his family & numerous friends. Services will be held on Saturday, October 24th at 2:00 p.m. at Church of Christ, 2011 Bayfield Parkway, Bayfield, Colorado.  Coffee and dessert will be served.  Come help us celebrate Denten’s life.  Camo & jeans welcome!
