Anita M. Gonzales…May 3, 1949 – October 25, 2015

A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Anita Gonzales will be held at 10:00 AM Friday October 30, 2015 at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Reverend Stephen Olamolu will be the celebrant and burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Lamar.

A rosary service for Anita will be held prior to the Mass at 9:30 AM at the Catholic Church led by Deacon Allan Medina.

Visitation for Anita will be held from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Thursday October 29, 2015 at the Peacock Family Chapel in Lamar.

Anita was born on May 3, 1949 at Las Vegas, New Mexico to Jesus Maria and Rebecca (Segura) Montoya and passed away on October 25, 2015 at her home in Lamar at the age of 66.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Rafelita Ortega and Paulino Montoya.

Anita is survived by her son, Louie Gonzales of Walsh, CO; by two step-children – Mona (Eustaquio) Casillas and JoAnn (Savino) Navarro; by fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and her siblings, Joe B. Montoya of Lamar, Mary Salazar of Burns, OR and Robert (Flora) Montoya of Lamar. Numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends also survive.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Anita M. Gonzales Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home office.

Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
