Rudy Munez…February 15, 1947 – August 2, 2015

A Rosary Service for longtime Lamar resident, Rudy Munez will be held at 9:30 AM, Friday, August 7, 2015 at St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Deacon Allan Medina reciting. A Funeral Mass will be held following the Rosary at 10:00 AM., also at the church with Reverend Stephen Olamolu as Celebrant.  

A private family Rite of Committal of Mr. Munez’s ashes will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery. 

Visitation for Rudy will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Peacock Funeral Home. 

Rudy was born on February 15, 1947 in Lamar, Colorado to Frances Gonzales and passed away on August 2, 2015 at the age of 68. 

He is preceded in death by his sons, Rudy Ray Munez and Manuel Munez; his mother, Frances Gonzales, granddaughter, Phenia Martinez and his brothers, Mike Gonzales, Frank Gonzales, Jesse Gonzales and Manuel Gonzales. 

Rudy is survived by his daughters, Melinda (Matthew) Clarke of Colorado Springs, CO, Paula (Phillip) Martinez of Lamar and Maria (Mathew) Sandoval of Greeley, CO; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his former wife, Martha Munez of Lamar; brothers, John (Annabelle) Munez of Lamar and Louie Gonzales of Pueblo, CO, his sister, Tomasita Estrada of Lamar as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.  

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Rudy Munez Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home office.
