Graveside memorial services for longtime, Las Animas, Colorado resident, Ronald Kiniston, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2015 at Fort Lyon National Cemetery in Las Animas, Colorado.
Ronald Glenn Kiniston was born on December 4, 1946 in Las Animas, Colorado to John A. and Ava (Lee) Kiniston. He passed away on August 25, 2015 at the age of 68.
Ron proudly served his country as a member of the Colorado Army National Guard and continued his service well after retirement as part of VFW Post # 2411 he served as the Post Commander for a number of years. Ron was also a Master Mason and served as Worshipful Master of Euclid Lodge #64 in La Junta. He enjoyed woodworking, leather working, hunting, fishing and storytelling. Ron was very fond of his son-in-law, Jeff, and was proud to have him as a “son”. Most of all, Ron loved his daughters and his grandchildren.
Ron is survived by his mother, Ava Kiniston; children, Tina Kiniston and Mary Beth and Jeff Condit; siblings, Dotte Christianson, June Ann and Pete Marta, Melba Dillon and Clarence “Butch” Dilllon, Robert and Jolene Kiniston, O. Lee and Mitzi Robinson, David and Beverly Robinson; three grandchildren, Wade Condit, Caeleigh Harris, and Jax Condit; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Kiniston; wife, J. Lynne Kiniston; infant daughter, Ronna Lee Kiniston; and brother-in-law, Gene Christianson.
