Funeral services for longtime Lamar resident, Don Arlen Holmes will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, August 15, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:00AM until 9:30AM. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation for Don will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 3:00PM until 5:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Don was born on September 30, 1934 in Manassa, Colorado to Charles Everett and Julia Pauline (Huffaker) Holmes and passed away on August 6, 2015 in Pueblo, Colorado at the age of 80.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Fran Kelly.
Don is survived by his children, Greg (Leinani) Holmes of Las Vegas, NV; Lori (Dan) Denman of Lamar; and Stacey (Wesley) Smith of Henderson, NV; ten grandchildren; sisters, Jean Culver of Farmington, NM; Charlette (Gene) Lindsey of Quitman, TX; Kay (Rex) Finch of Farmington, NM; and June Abraham of Waterflow, NM. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends also survive.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
