Elsie Moulder, 2015 Wiley Hay Days Royalty

Elsie was born on the family farm 1 1/2 miles north of Wiley in April of 1932. Her parents were Charlie and Mildred Oswald. After the death of her father the family moved to Wiley, 511 Welton. She still resides at that address.

In May of 1949 she was united in marriage to D.C. Moulder. They were blessed with nine children, seven girls and two boys. D.C. passed away in December of 1991 after a long illness in which she was the caregiver. Most of her life she was a homemaker however there was a short time she worked at Aspen Ski Wear sewing. She loves to sew and made clothes for her children and has made many, many quilts. She also loves to garden and take care of her yard. She machine quilts for herself and others.

Most days you will find her reading, piecing a puzzle, playing games on her computer, or playing card games. Her blessings are many as she has 20 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She loves the small town life and the people of Wiley.

Events for the 40th Annual Wiley Days will begin on Friday, June 19.  Visitors and residents should take note that the Saturday parade, usually held at 1pm, has been changed to 10am.
