The Rusty Pistol Sporting Company, a new enterprise that offers Defensive Firearm Training, has opened in Lamar at 8125 County Road LL. Owner Stephen Webster offers the Colorado Conceal Carry Permit Course, plus NRA Basic Pistol training and home firearms safety courses. Members of the Lamar Honkers and Chamber Board of Directors were on hand to officially greet the new businesses.
The school offers several shooting simulation courses using both computer and laser equipped handguns. There is no live ammunition other than small pellets used on the premises, although several of the handheld weapon types do allow for noise and a simulated ‘kick’ when fired.
Hours are Tuesday through Friday from 4pm to 8pm and Saturday from 10am to 8pm. Call 844-DRY-FIRE for additional information on classes and membership plans.
