A service of celebration for Colorado Springs resident and former Lamar resident, William D. Van Skike will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Lamar Christian Church with Ian Blacker officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar.

Visitation for Mr. Van Skike will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday April 8, 2015 at the Peacock Family Chapel.

William D. Van Skike, affectionately known to many as Bill, was born on February 9, 1948 in Lamar, Colorado to Harold Wayne Van Skike and Twyla (Day) Van Skike and departed this life on Saturday April 4, 2015 at his home in Colorado Springs with his family by his side at the age of 67.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; by his ex-wife – Bobbi Van Skike; and by one sister – Sandy Reifschneider.

Bill is survived by two children – Larissa Van Skike; and Jason William Van Skike; by three grandchildren – Kaitlyen, Karmin, and Alyssa all of Colorado Springs; and by one sister – Kay Cochran of Lamar; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.

The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Peacock Funeral Home.
