A graveside memorial service for current Yuma, Arizona resident formerly of Lamar, James Jacob Pace, affectionately known to his family and friends as Jake, will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Fairmount Cemetery.

Per Jake’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.

Jake was born on November 18, 1928 in Rural Prowers County to Fred and Carrie (Smith) Pace and passed away on April 8, 2015 in Yuma, Arizona at the age of 86.

He is preceded in death by his wife; Virgie Pace, longtime companion; Eva Mosier-Pace, granddaughter; Andrea Pace, his parents and his brother; Cecil Pace.

Jake is survived by his sons; Randy (Karen) Pace of Pueblo, CO and Kelly (Michelle) Pace of Brighton, CO, grandchildren; Olin Pace of Brighton, CO, Lea Pace and Ryan Pace both of Fort Collins, CO. He is also survived by his brother; Roy Pace of Helena, MT, caregiver; Joetta Wilson of Yuma, AZ as well as his nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.

Services are under the direction of the Peacock family.
