A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Eileen Roe will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Lamar Christian Church with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Eileen was born on October 13, 1911 at Peru, Iowa to William J. and Pearl (Ford) Silliman and passed away on April 1, 2015 at the Bent County Memorial Nursing Home in Las Animas, Colorado at the age of 103.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter; Wanda Hieronymus, sister; Veryl Hendricks and her brother; Bill Sillman.
Eileen is survived by her children; Bob (Janet) Laird of Lamar, Alice E. Francis of Warner Springs, CA, Shirley (Orval) Cunningham of Colorado Springs, CO and Jeanette Vick of Nacogdoches, TX and step-son; Kenny (Glenda) Roe of Lamar. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends also survive.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Christian Church either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
