10 Receive Awards at Colorado Science and Engineering Fair

Lamar Community College wishes to congratulate all of the Southeast Region Grade 6-12 students that participated in the 60th Annual Colorado Science and Engineering Fair (CSEF). The event was held at Colorado State University in Fort Collins on April 9, 10 and 11.
The Colorado Science and Engineering Fair promotes opportunities for student-developed, research-based projects that reflect an interest in science and technology. The Southeast Region boasted twenty-four qualifying students, of which ten received awards at the Colorado Science and Engineering Fair totaling over $9,000.
Students receiving awards at CSEF include Aubree Rybacki of Alta Vista (American Association of University Women Special Award), Joe Haase of Eads (Junior Division Energy and Transportation Honorable Mention Grand Award), Chase Cromwell of Lamar (Junior Division Math and Computer Science 4th Place Grand Award), Collin Leonard of Springfield (Adams State University Scholarship), Dakota Cook of Walsh (Colorado Dental Association Special Award), Victoria Dunivan of Walsh (Eppler Family Special Award), Katie McCall of Walsh (Soil and Water Conservation Society Special Award), Thomas Manuel of Walsh (Senior Division Physics Honorable Mention Grand Award), Jacob Wright of Walsh (Colorado Veterinary Medical Association and Auxiliary Special Award, Pioneers of Science Award, and the Junior Division Animal Sciences 4th Place Grand Award), and Haleigh Prosser of Wiley (Colorado Veterinary Medical Association and Auxiliary Special Award).
Each of the qualifying students worked very hard on their projects and represented the Southeast Region of Colorado very well. Congratulations to all qualifiers and award winners!
