Evelyn L. Edmunds…September 8, 1926 – December 31, 2014

Funeral services for Las Animas, Colorado resident, Evelyn Edmunds will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the Parkview Baptist Church in Las Animas, Colorado.  Pastor Jack Martin will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Fort Lyon National Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 1:00-5:00 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2015 at Horber Funeral Chapel.

Evelyn Louise (Gouge) Edmunds was born on September 8, 1926 in Goodland, Kansas to Clarence and Irma (Taylor) Gouge.  She passed away on December 31, 2014 in Greeley, Colorado at the age of 88.

Evelyn was united in marriage to Maryld A. Edmunds on April 24, 1948 in Nebraska.  Evelyn was a seamstress and taught school for a few years in a country school.  She was a member of the Parkview Baptist Church.  Evelyn is remembered by her family as a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her six children, Darwin Edmunds of Liberal, KS, Daryl and wife, Pearl Edmunds of Marana, AZ, Clifford and wife, Veronica Edmunds of Vernal, UT, Alvin Edmunds of Mesa, AZ, Karen and husband, Dewey Anderson of Las Animas, and Phyllis McDonald of Greeley, CO; 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maryld Edmunds; 2 brothers; 1 sister; daughter-in-law, Bonnell Edmunds; and grandson, Daryl.
