Wilma Carol McGee…December 10, 1917 – September 30, 2014

Memorial services for Carol McGee will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Holly, Colorado with Pastor Kathy Leathers officiating.  Inurnment will follow at the Holly Cemetery.

Wilma Carol (Simpson) McGee was born on December 10, 1917 in Prowers County, Colorado to James G. and Mabel (Stanley) Simpson.   She passed away on September 30, 2014 at Holly Nursing Care Center at the age of 96.

Carol married Jimmy L. McGee on August 10, 1935.  She was a member of the Wide Awake club and the United Methodist Church of Bristol.

Carol is survived by her children, James “Bub” McGee and wife, Myrna of Bristol, CO and Margaret Murray and husband, Leon of Granada, CO; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; 11 great great-grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy in 1967; four sisters; and one great-grandson.
