Leyon Banks…July 17, 1936 – October 5, 2014

Funeral services for Leyon “Bud” Banks will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Horber Funeral Chapel in Las Animas, Colorado.  Interment will follow in Toonerville, Colorado.

Leyon C. “Bud” Banks was born on July 17, 1936 at Bent County Hospital, Las Animas, Colorado to Estel and Mable Banks.  He passed away on October 5, 2014 at the Spanish Peaks Memorial Hospital in Walsenburg, Colorado at the age of 78.

Bud is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Sally; daughters, Sherry (Frank) Woods, Shelley (Ed) Kilpatrick, and Sheila (David) Lawson; sister, Elva (Bob) Foulk; grandchildren, Brian (Lori) Harper, Melissa (Andrew) Howell, Eric (Kara) Harber, Brandon (Angie) Ede, Justin Ede, Jay Woods, Blaine (Katie) Lawson, Connie Brummett, Briana (Dan) Renich, Craig Kilpatrick, and Carl Kilpatrick; 17 great grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces; and many friends.
