Annual Hasty Days Set for Sept 6

This small community in southeast Colorado always has big plans for their September 6 celebration.  It’s worth a visit to enjoy some of the activities.

6:30am Dam Run back and forth across John Martin Dam

9am       Hasty Fire Department Breakfast: Pancakes, Sausage, Eggs and O.J. $2 & $5 for age groups

10am     Parade Around Town

11am     Lawn Mower Tractor Pull, Cake Walk, Hoop-Bean Bag-Skillet Toss Events

12pm     Rocket Launch, Bike Rodeo, Hula Hoop and Limbo Contest

1pm       Jump Rope, Water Balloon Toss, Lawn Mower Obstacle Course

2pm       NEW-Mutton Bustin, $10 to enter and win a belt buckle, Frozen Tee Shirt Contest-Horseshoes

3pm       3 Legged Race, Boot Race, Gunny Sack Race

4pm       Children Dancers will Entertain

5-6pm   Community BBQ, Under 5 is Free, $5 for 6-11, all else is $10 for Great Food

All Proceeds go to scholarships for Hasty and Las Animas Schools.

6-7pm   Auction

7pm       Dancing.
