Party Affiliation & Voter Registration for the 2014 Primary Election
Russ Baldwin | May 22, 2014 | Comments 0
DEADLINE: Friday, May 23, 2014, is the last day to change his or her affiliation. The elector must vote the ballot for the party he or she is affiliated with. If the elector makes an affiliation change after the deadline, the county must defer processing that change until after the election.
Registered unaffiliated electors: The elector may affiliate and cast a ballot any time up until and on Election Day (June 24, 2014).
Registered affiliated electors: The elector will receive a ballot, for the party they are affiliated with, by mail through the week of June 2-6, 2014.
Not registered in Colorado: A person who is not yet registered in Colorado may register and affiliate through Election Day if he or she has resided in the state for 22 days before the election. The new elector will receive a regular ballot for the party he or she affiliates with at the time of registration. This provision applies only to individuals who are not registered anywhere in the state.
