A celebration of Life funeral service for longtime Lamar resident, Laura J. Gomez, will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday May 20, 2014 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Greg Arzola officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Lamar.
Visitation for Laura will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday May 19, 2014 at the Peacock Family Chapel with a Rosary to begin at 6:30.
Laura was born on August 10, 1971 in Cisco, Texas to Anthony Torres Gomez and Josefina Luera (De La Cruz) Gomez and departed this life on Wednesday May 14, 2014 at her home in Lamar at the age of 42.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents and by one brother – Anthony T. Gomez.
Laura is survived by six brothers and sisters – King (Rosalba) Gomez of Greeley; Margarito (Juana) Gomez of Lamar; Christina (Juan) Diosdado of Lamar; Norma (Jeronimo) Sanchez of Pueblo; Carmen Martinez of Ft. Collins; and Alma (Greg) Arzola of Colorado Springs. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
