Foundation Links with Kaiser Permanente for Scholarships

(Lamar, Colorado; April 7, 2014) Thanks to a challenge grant from Kaiser Permanente and matching funds from generous area contributors, the Lamar Community College Foundation is now offering $19,650 in Health Science scholarships for the 2014-15 academic year. The scholarships will be split between Emergency Medical Services, Nurse Aide, and Nursing program students.
Students who plan to take the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) or Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate courses this summer (May 5 start) are encouraged to apply now. The application deadline for these programs is April 30.
Nursing and fall semester CNA students have until July 8 to apply for fall and/or spring scholarships.
