                Memorial services for Las Animas, Colorado resident, Jeffrey Calhoon will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Nazarene Church with Pastor Janice Ramey officiating.

                Jeffrey Scott Calhoon was born on January 15, 1970 in Ft. Collins, Colorado to Roger Leslie and Lucille Marie (Gunn) Calhoon.  He passed away on January 28, 2014 in Las Animas, Colorado at the age of 44.

                Jeff attended school in Las Animas, graduating in 1988. He was united in marriage to Wendy Wordlow and one son, Tristen David Calhoon was born to their union.  He attended the Nazarene Church for much of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an excellent craftsman with wood. Although Jeff didn’t participate in sports he encouraged and supported his son, Tristen to do so.

                He is preceded in death by his parental grandparents, James N. and Mary Alice Calhoon; maternal grandparents Raymond I. and Helen Margaret Gunn; step-father, Sam Cook; uncle, Raymond E. Gunn and aunt, Margaret E. Massey.

                Jeff is survived by his son, Tristen David Calhoon, Pueblo West, CO; mother, Lucille Cook, Las Animas; father, Roger Calhoon and wife Joy, Litchfield Park, AZ; two brothers, Steven Calhoon, Fountain Hill, AZ, Jimmy Calhoon and wife Margaret, Westminster, CO; one sister, Lisa Hanks, Las Animas, CO; other relatives and many friends.
