Elizabeth Wagner…June 6, 1920 – January 13, 2014

Funeral services for Las Animas, Colorado resident Elizabeth Wagner will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2014 at the Las Animas High School in Las Animas, Colorado.  Burial will follow in the Bent/Las Animas Cemetery.

Claudia Elizabeth Kimbell was born 6-12 of 20, as she liked to say, to Claude and Janie (Sexson) Kimbell near Kim, Colorado.  She was the ninth of 10 children–Buster, Eloise, Annie, Alice, John, Margaret, George, Clyde, and Mae.

Elizabeth married Walter Fletcher Wagner on February 13, 1946 in Raton, NM.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and all of her siblings; two granddaughters, Heather Frye and Cynthia Carter; two great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

She is survived by five children; Charlene Rich, Eufala, OK; Kay (Jerry) Lemons, Raton, NM; Jane Carter, Las Animas; Kim (Ronda) Wagner, Weiser, ID, and Jackie Wagner of Las Animas. Eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Elizabeth died on January 13, 2014, at home surrounded by many of those who loved her.
