Comedy Night Returns to the Eagles January 31, 2014


The Lamar Chamber of Commerce Honkers, Two for the Road Entertainment and the Lamar Eagles are hosting another Great night of comedy at the Lamar Eagles Aerie in Lamar, CO. It will start with a meal of spaghetti with meat sauce, salad and garlic bread prepared by the Lamar Eagles from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with the Live Comedy Show starting at 7:30 PM featuring Headliner Elliot Woolsey with Feature Rick Bryan.

Tickets are $10 and are available at the following locations or from any Lamar Chamber Honker.

Headliner Elliot Woolsey

Elliot Woolsey is a larger than life stand-up comedian from Denver, Colorado. Towering at an unnatural 6’5″, and weighing in at barely-healthy 250 pounds, Elliot’s high-energy, commanding stage presence, and relatable material has made him a rising star in the Denver comedy scene. Elliot is the winner of the 2012 Comedy Works new faces contest, and has become a regular at the club, opening for amazing acts like T.J Miller, Todd Glass, and Josh Blue.

Rick Bryan is a stand up comedian from Denver, CO. He’s performed at all of the clubs around town (Comedy Works South and Downtown, Denver Improv, Wit’s End Comedy Club, Loonees Comedy Corner, and at the Downunder Comedy Club). Over the past few years he’s became a traveling comic and he has also performed in nationwide contests such as the Great American Comedy festival, World Series of Comedy, and LaughTrack Comedy festival. Rick started to LIVESTRONG on 09/11/2006, this is the day when he was diagnosed with cancer. During 2006 and throughout 2007 his life was full of life changing events. After his first treatment of chemotherapy Rick started to think about a career in comedy. Soon after that experience he lost his father. This is when he started to pursue a life dedicated to making people laugh, after all laughter is the best medicine there is – He found that doing Stand Up Comedy helped relieve the stress and pain in his life!
