Donation for Lamar Area Hospice

The Lamar Area Hospice received a timely donation of $14,000 from members of the association that raises funds each year through the Angels Open golf tournament and the summer dance and auction.   

The funds are used by the Lamar Area Hospice organization throughout the year to assist families in need for their loved ones.  The local hospice group has a staff of about 55 volunteers and paid members and last year moved into their headquarters at the former Lamar Hotel on West Olive Street.
