                Memorial services for Patricia Tyree, affectionately known as Colleen, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Nazarene Church in Las Animas, Colorado.

                Patricia Colleen (Shannon) Tyree was born July 4, 1938 in Alexander, ND to Elmo D. “Ed” and Hildegard A. Shannon.  She passed away on September 6, 2013 in Las Animas, CO at the age of 75.

                Colleen graduated from high school in Alexander, ND in 1956.  She worked as a telephone operator for Mountain Bell in Sidney, Montana from 1957 until 1961.  On October 15, 1961 she married Keith Tyree in Sidney, Montana and then moved to Colorado.  They divorced in 1967.  For 8 ½ years Colleen worked at Bills Market in La Junta.  She then began working at Fort Lyon VA hospital as a nursing assistant in November 1971 until she retired on October 30, 1997.

                Colleen is survived by her brother, Richard E. Shannon of Fairview, MT; sister-in-law, Vida “Vi” Shannon of Fairview, MT; eight nephews; four nieces; other relatives and a host of friends.

                She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Hildegard Shannon; brother, Don Shannon; sister, Betty Sather; Brother-in-law, Henry Sather; and sister-in-law, Penny Sather.
