Juniper Village Celebrates 20th Anniversary in Lamar

Residents and officials in Lamar attended the 20th anniversary observance of Juniper Village in Lamar, Wednesday, June 5.
The event was commemorated with decorations, snacks and beverages for the Juniper Village residents and guests. Sharon Felton, director of the Lamar branch and Cindy Longfellow, one of the regional directors for Juniper Communities met and mingled with the afternoon crowd.
Lamar Mayor Pro-Tem, Skip Ruedeman was on hand to sign and read a proclamation from the Lamar City Council declaring June 5 as Juniper Village at Lamar Day. The proclamation reads in part, “Juniper Village in Lamar has been recognized by the State of Colorado Pay for Performance program for the past three years for exceptional quality care and service and Juniper Village at Lamar received high scores for directed resident care, homelike environment, relations with staff and staff stability.” It also noted that as an employer, Juniper Village has 74 persons of staff and is home to 60 residents.
