Affordable Online Pilot Program at Lamar Community College

(Lamar, Colorado; June 13, 2013) Lamar Community College is launching an Online Pilot Program this fall. A $1000.00 scholarship is available to those who enroll in the program and meet all of the requirements. The program is designed for students who like the flexibility of online courses and are seeking to complete a college degree or certificate. LCC representatives understand that many of our students have other obligations that make attending class on-campus difficult.
LCC’s online courses are offered through CCCOnline which is a consortium comprised of the thirteen Community Colleges in the Colorado Community College System. Through CCCOnline Lamar Community College is able to offer its students courses they may not be able to receive on campus, including: foreign language, early childhood development, education, environmental science, geology, and paralegal courses.
As an added benefit LCC is offering tutoring, online support, an online orientation, mentoring, and access to LCC’s computer lab for all online students. Every student in the program will also be assigned an Academic Advisor to assist in course selection.
Students who take part in the program must be Colorado residents, enroll in 12 credits, designate a degree or certificate, attend an online orientation, meet with an academic advisor, and maintain a 2.0 GPA.
Online learning takes dedication, organization, and time management. Professionals at LCC will assist you in meeting your educational goal.
