Funeral services for Maxine Seibel will be at 10:00 a.m. MST Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Holly, Colorado.  Rev. Ralph Plummer will officiate.  Burial will be at the Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas at 3:00 p.m. CST.  Visitation for Maxine will be from 1:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Holly.

Jennie Maxine (Ransom) Seibel was born on January 21, 1916 in Sand Creek, Oklahoma to Guy and Edna (Farr) Ransom.  She passed away April 28, 2013 at Holly Nursing Care Center at the age of 97.

Maxine married Luther Seibel on July 28, 1935 in Wakita, Oklahoma.  To this union they had a son, Monte and a daughter, Carol.  Maxine was a member of Eastern Star and the United Methodist Church in Leoti.  She took great pride in being a homemaker and was great at it as well.  She also did the bookwork for the family business, Seibel Welding Service for many years.

Maxine is survived by her daughter Carol J. McCoy and her husband, David J. of Holly, Colorado; grandchildren, Melinda Jasani and husband, Neil of Hockessin, DE, Cameron L. McCoy and partner, Jon Peck of Avondale, Marcy N. McCoy of Denver; three great-grandchildren; Gregory, Kevin, Emily all of Hockessin; many other relatives and a host of friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Luther; son, Monte J. Seibel in 1964; and four brothers.
