Colorado East Bank & Trust was established in May of 1994 when ColoEast Bankshares, Inc., a bank holding company comprised of a group of investors purchased the American State Bank located in Granada and the First Bank & Trust in Holly, along with the new branch that was established in Lamar. The three banks merged and became Colorado East Bank & Trust. We are proud to hold the oldest bank charter in Prowers County with the First Bank & Trust of Holly charter from 1905.

Since 1994, Colorado East Bank & Trust has grown from the original three branches to eighteen branches located in Colorado and Kansas. The growth was achieved through a planned strategy of purchases and mergers of banks strategically placed throughout Eastern, Central Mountain and Front Range regions of Colorado and Western Kansas. Our Colorado locations include: Holly, Lamar, Granada, Springfield, La Junta, Keenesburg, LaSalle, Dacono, Pueblo North, Pueblo West, Pueblo South, Buena Vista, Fairplay, Stratton, Severance, Mead, and a Loan Production Center in Colorado Springs. Our Kansas locations are in Tribune and Elkhart. Colorado East Bank & Trust is proud to be able to serve and support these wonderful communities.

Along with traditional banking services, the Holding Company’s plan was to become a complete financial service center and provide non‐traditional financial services. These services include a Colorado East Financial Strategies Group which specializes in wealth management and conservation and Colorado East Insurance which is able to handle all of your insurance needs. Unlike the bank, these service centers are Not FDIC Insured.
