A celebration of life memorial service for longtime Granada resident, Richard D. “Ricky Silva, will be held at 10 AM Saturday March 23, 2013 at the Peacock Family Chapel in Lamar with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating. In-urnment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery in Granada.
Per Ricky’s request cremation will take place and there will be no public visitation.
Ricky was born on June 13, 1968 in Lamar, Colorado to Lawrence Silva and Augustina “Tiny” Trujillo-Silva and departed this life on Thursday March 14, 2013 at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo at the age of 44.
Ricky was preceded in death by his grandparents – Pedro Silva on December 30, 1986; Calletana Silva on November 29, 1997; and Clorinda Gomez on September 15, 2003; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins, to include “Uncle Ted” and “Aunt Hope”.
Ricky is survived by his parents – Lawrence and Augustina “Tiny” Silva of Granada; by four siblings – Phillip “Chunky” (Deb) Silva of Woodland Park, CO; Natalie (Dana) Musick of Bristol; Greg (Alice) Silva of Watkins, CO; and Andee (Larry) Dowd of Pueblo West, CO; by his fiancé – Sara Loya of Lamar; by his grandfather – Sammy Gomez of Saginaw, MI; nieces and nephews – Shelley (Justin) Silva of Erie, CO; Amanda (Johny) Carrillo of Colorado Springs; Devon Silva of Bristol; and Jon (Katie) Silva of Northglenn, CO. Ricky is also survived by special friends and other family to include the Sarmiento Family (Chino, Jessie, Joe, Alexis, and Anthony; and his Fire Department family, and last but not least his loyal and loving pet “Bella”.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Ricky Silva Memorial Fund in care of the Peacock Family Chapel.
