A Funeral Mass for lifelong Lamar resident Virgina Godinez will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, November 5, 2012 at St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Henry Aguwa as celebrant. A Rosary Service will be held prior to the Mass at 9:30 AM with Deacon Allan Medina reciting.
Visitation for Virginia will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the Peacock Funeral Home.
Ms. Godinez was born on November 29, 1944 to Russell and Bernadine (Rocha) Godinez and passed away at the age of 67on October 31, 2012 in Colorado Springs with her family by her side.
She is preceded in death by her father on August 8, 1994 and an infant brother.
Virginia is survived by her mother Bernadine Godinez of Lamar, brothers; Daniel (Theresa) Godinez of Parker, Frank (Juanita) Godinez of Lamar and her sister Vivian (James) Abitia of Pueblo. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends including Mercedes Hernandez of Lamar.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office. Arrangements are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
