Bill McCaslin…August 22, 1933 – September 15, 2012

A Celebration of Life for longtime Lamar resident, Bill McCaslin will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 20, 2012, at the Lamar Christian Church with Ian Blacker officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery, Veteran’s Section under the auspices of the Lamar VFW Post #3621 and the American Legion Post #71.  

Visitation for Bill will be held from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. 

Mr. McCaslin was born on August 22, 1933 in Buffalo, Missouri, to Leo and Rueanna (Southard) McCaslin and departed this life on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at home with his family by his side at the age of 79. 

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Rueanna McCaslin. 

He is survived by his wife Dottie of the family home, his brother Bob (Frankie) McCaslin of Lamar, his children; Pam (Bob) English of Lakewood, CA, Peggy McCaslin of Long Beach, CA, Steve (Pam) McCaslin of Agua Dulce, CA, Scott (Lori) McCaslin of Cerritos, CA, Carla Warman of Lamar, Levi (Amber) Warman of Canon City, CO and Candy Hall of Lamar. Also surviving are his 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.  Numerous other relatives and many friends also survive. 

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice in lieu of flowers, either direct or in care of the funeral home office.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Peacock Funeral Home.
