Another Growth Month for Lamar Sales Tax Revenue

Total Sales and Use Tax Collections for June 2012 for the City of Lamar increased 11.95% over the same period last year. Collections amounted to $313,592.81, or an increase of $33,484.43. City Sales Tax increased for that period 6.59%, up $17,497.79. Year to Date tax collections were increased appropriately, at 6.60% for Total Sales and Use Tax Collections for a gain of $124,532.55 over the same period, January through July 2012. Total Collections is at $2,012.809.33 for 2012, compared to $1,888,276.78 for 2011.
