Wiley Hay Days Begins Friday Afternoon

The following is the schedule of events for Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16 for this year’s Wiley Hay Days Activities:

FRIDAY JUNE 15, 2012:

6 p.m. — Grandpa’s Softball @Baseball Field, contact Wynter Wollert @ 719-688-1773. At half time Crowning King and Queen–Jimmie and Billie Colvin

7:30 p.m. -Wiley Lions Club BINGO at the Community Center– Large room.

7:30 p.m. — Kids movie night @ Community Center. Have the younger kids watch a movie in the small meeting room while you play BINGO!

SATURDAY JUNE 16TH:

7am– Early Morning 5K Walk @ Main St. Park

7am-9am- Breakfast with AVHAP (@ Rock School House, NW end of Main St.)

8am-9am- Kid’s carnival and vendor set up(Main St.)

9am-Noon- Kid’s Carnival @ Main St. Park -Egg toss/3 legged race/ hula hoop/sack race/ jump rope and more contests for kids all ages.

10 a.m. to 3 p.m.– Car Show@ Main and 3rd Street. Contact Josh Eckert @ 719-688-3605 or Hank Neiberger @ 719-829 4241 for entry fees and information. 9 a.m. check in.

11:30 a.m.-1:00pm-Sloppy Joe Dinner @ Main St. Park $5 per adult and $3 for Kids

1 p.m.-Parade Line Up (At this time if you would like to be in the Parade please line up on Ward St on the west side of the school.) 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes for the best bikes decorated for kids and for 3 parade entries will be awarded.

1:30 p.m.- Parade (Main Street)

2 p.m.- Ice Cream Social @ the Community Church

3 p.m.- Ping Pong Ball Drop-Main Street

3:30 p.m. — Legacy Bank Duck Race (Location TBD)

4 p.m.– Ping Pong Ball prize pick up at the Town Hall (304 Main Street)

5:30p.m. — Chili Cook Off and Community Potluck @ the Main St. Park. Just bring a side dish or dessert.

7-11 p.m. Live Music by Butch and Malinda @the Main St. Park. Bring a chair or a blanket.
