A memorial service for Las Animas resident, Caroline V. Paul will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday May 5, 2012 at the Peacock Funeral Home in Lamar. Ray Matteson will officiate the service and in-urnment will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar. Per Caroline’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
Caroline was born on January 9, 1916 at Butternut, Wisconsin to Roy and Margaret (Drott) Beechey and passed away on April 22, 2012 at the Bent County Memorial Nursing Home in Las Animas, CO at the age of 96.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter; Patricia Page.
Caroline is survived by her children; Goldie Hernandez of Casper, Wyoming and Lynn (Margaret) Clapp of Las Animas, CO; by five granddaughters – Debbie, Kelly, Becky, Traci, and Renae; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a host of very good friends to include Peggy Fowler of Lamar.
