The following are additional pictures of the impact and damage done to the Prowers County Area by the two tornadoes that struck during the overnight hours of April 27, 2012.  Thanks to John Robinson and Vincent Gearhart for their photographic contributions to this addition and to the Prowers Journal’s original article. 

Thanks too, to every responder who stepped up to the plate to get our town back in working order following the storms.  From the light plant crews and emergency responders who were on the scene as the tornadoes were occuring, to the friends and neighbors who pitched in and helped those homeowners in their time of need.  Most would reply, “Just doing our job” , but it should always be noted that your efforts go way beyond the everyday 9 to 5.
