Ruby M. McClurg…July 1, 1927 – February 16, 2012

A Celebration of Life for lifelong Lamar resident, Ruby M. McClurg will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, February 20, 2012 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Kathy Leathers of the Holly United Methodist Church officiating. 

Visitation for Ruby will be held from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the Peacock Funeral Home. 

Per Mrs. McClurg’s request there will be cremation following the chapel service and a private family interment of ashes at a later date. 

Ruby was born on July 1, 1927 at Lamar, Colorado to Melvin William ”Happy” and Eunice Viola (Ferguson) Stephens and passed away at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado on February 16, 2012 at the age of 84.

 She is preceded in death by her parents, sons; Harvey “Buck” Gail Bingham and Christopher Scott McClurg as well as two sisters and two brothers and her special companion Bobby Fox. 

Ruby is survived by her children; Leslie Steven (Susan Jo Kull) Bingham of Craig, CO, Melody (Dallas) Hart of Holly, CO, Stephanie (Dan Blanchette) Livingston of Westminster, CO. Fifteen grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many friends also survive.
