Michael A. “Mike” Johnson…December 10, 1944 – February 9, 2012

A memorial service for longtime Lamar resident, Michael A. Johnson, affectionately known to many as Mike, will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating.

Per Mike’s request, cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
    Mike was born on December 10, 1944 at Bury St. Edmunds, England to Merle A. and Hilda M. (Plume) Johnson and passed away on February 9, 2012 at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 67.

    He is preceded in death by his parents.

    Mike is survived by his wife; Patti Johnson of Lamar, children; Scott Floyd of Lamar, Steve (Christy) Johnson of Lamar, David (Nicole) Johnson of Aurora, Colorado, Adena Sue (Miguel) Agua of Centennial, Colorado, Jeff (Kim) Kiser of Lamar and grandchildren Zack (Sid) Johnson, Taylor, Tate, Ty, Cielo, Eric, Taelor, Taryn, Audrey, Tony, Natalie and Nayleah. He is also survived by his sister; Joyce (Gary) Derr of Campbell, Nebraska as well as numerous other family and a host of friends.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Colorado Boys Ranch either direct or in care of the funeral home office.    Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
