Vaunee Coen…May 17, 1917 – January 5, 2012

A burial of ashes will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 1:00PM at Fairmount Cemetery for longtime Wiley resident Vaunee Coen. Per Vaunee’s request cremation will take place and there will be no viewing.  

Vaunee was born on May 17, 1917 at Morristown, Tennessee to Luther and Stella (Stubblefield) Archer and passed away on January 5, 2012 at her home in Wiley with her family by her side at age 94. 

 She is preceded in death by her husband; Delbert Coen, her parents, daughter-in-law; Pam Coen and brother; Albert Archer. 

Vaunee is survived by her sons; Norman (Carol) Coen of Wiley, Dennis (Denise) Coen of Omaha, Nebraska, and Larry Coen of Wiley, by seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.  

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.  Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
