Everett J. Hazen…December 20, 1935 – December 4, 2011

     A celebration of life service for longtime Holly, Colorado resident, Everett J. Hazen will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday December 10, 2011 at Valley Memorial Chapel in Holly, Colorado. Pastor Tim Singer will officiate. Burial will follow at Holly Cemetery in Holly, Colorado.   

            Visitation for Mr. Hazen will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday December 9, 2011 and 9:00 A.M. to service time on Saturday December 10, 2011 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Holly, CO.  

            Everett was born on December 20, 1935 at Walsh, Colorado to Willie and Florence Hazen. He departed this life on December 4, 2011 at Prowers Medical Center at the age of 75.  

            Everett was preceded in death by his father, Willie Hazen of Lamar, CO. on April 23, 1981; by his mother Florence Hazen of Lamar, CO. on December 21, 1989; by his brother Billie Hazen of Holly, CO. on August 27, 1982; by his sister, Dorothy Cook of Garden City, KS. on December 28, 2004; and by his sister Darlene Wallace of Garden City, KS. on August 31, 2007.  

            He is survived by his wife of 59 years Violet Hazen, of Holly, CO., by his five children, Dale (Erica) Hazen of Dublin, CA., Jenet (Dave) Gardner of Leoti, KS., Rodney (Brenda) Hazen of Holly, CO., Jeanne (Jack) Scott of Poteau, OK., and Ricky Hazen of Calhan, CO.; By 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. By 3 brothers, Bobby (Carol) Hazen of Lousville, KY.,  Edgar (Judy) Hazen of Ft. Lupton, CO., and Elvin (Linda) Hazen of Holcomb KS.; By 3 sisters Doris (Ray) Ratzlaff of Del Norte, CO., Della (GW) Pierce of Garden City, KS., and Donna Hazen of Garden City, KS. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
