Bill Dodge…October 14, 1918 – December 23, 2011

 A celebration of life memorial service for longtime Prowers County Rancher, Bill Dodge will be held at a later date.  Per Bill’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation.           

Bill Dodge was born on October 14, 1918 in Carlton, Colorado to James J. and Margaret S. (Davis) Dodge and departed this life on Friday December 23, 2011 at his home in Lamar with his family by his side at the age of 93.           

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.   He is survived by his wife – Anna Dodge of the family home in Lamar; by one daughter – Deanna Steward of Thornton, Colorado; by two grandchildren – William “Billy” (Tracie) Steward of South of Granada; and Anna Lynn Corbett of Thornton, Colorado; by six great grandchildren – Amber Krizek; Danno Krizek; Ashlee (Timothy) Wirwick; Brandie (Shane) Allenbaugh; Cody James (Rachael) Steward; and Samantha Steward; and by five great-great grandchildren; also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and great and great-great nieces, and nephews.           

The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either directly or through Peacock Funeral Home.
