Another Step Forward for Cow Palace Inn

Workers erected the new sign at the Cow Palace Inn Thursday, December 15. The marquis now shows that the motel is operating under the Rodeway Inn Franchise.
This is one of several renovations to the motel since it was purchased by Rodeway Inn earlier this year. Manager Doug Thrall said the sign post at the south entryway will be used to highlight the businesses that rent office or retail space at the motel. Other upgrades include new furnishings for the Branding Iron Lounge and the inner dining room. The outer courtyard grill is being cleaned and some sections will be replaced so meals can be prepared there. Once a new epoxy flooring has been laid in the kitchen, brand new cooking facilities will be installed as well. Thrall said led lighting has been installed in the foyer and inner hallway as well as the portico to the main entrance.
Older Cow Palace Inn patrons will recognize the long familiar tile squares in the entryway flooring that showcased area cattle brands. Over two dozen employees were hired during a job fair last month and Thrall said he expects the kitchen to be in operation just after the New Year and the lounge should be open before that point.
